YOUSEF SANSOUR
After the tragic events of September 11, 2011, Yousef Sansour began working with various US government agencies in a counterterrorism role (CT). These organizations included the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, United States Secret Service, and the Department of Defense. These highly specialized missions saw Sansour in six of the seven continents. During his time abroad, Sansour dedicated himself to the defense of the US in a CT role. As the founder of Esoteric, he has provided training to military and law enforcement agencies across the world. These agencies include, but are not limited to, the FBI, DEA, CIA, Department of Homeland Security, United States Secret Service, US Marshals, US Army, and the US Navy, just to name a few. Sansour also has more than 28 years of SWAT experience with a local law enforcement agency.
Yousef has over 20 years of explosive breaching experience, is the inventor/developer of UTK products, and currently holds 5 patents for explosive breaching specific products.
WHAT IS TAMPING?
The purpose of tamping is to effectively contain and distribute explosive energy in the blast hole. if tamping is not used, a great deal of blast energy is lost, resulting in a poor blast.
WHY TAMP?
Tamping increases the effectiveness of the charge while reducing its net explosive weight. This has several positive effects, such as the reduction of overpressure, the reduction in possible damage to the surrounding area of the charge, and the reduction of the minimum safe distance (MSD) to the charge, just to name a few.

With over 20 years of operational experience, we have seen how explosive breaching can negatively impact the breacher's health due to TBI's and other issues related to regular exposure to blast overpressure. UTK™ was born out of the desire to reduce the operator's exposure to overpressure while maintaining the effectiveness of the charge.
EDUCATION
UTK™ provides a hands-on experience for breachers in all demos. We want breachers to experience first-hand how easy it can be to build and deploy a UTK™ charge. We also provide three day training courses specific to explosive breaching and have trained breaching teams for law enforcement, special operations, and the military worldwide.
